DBR has been involved in missions work in Central America for more than a decade. We have developed a partnership with an NGO (non-profit organization) to build a Rescue & Rehabilitation Center for Women, primarily for those who were victims of human trafficking.
DBR has coordinated several construction missions' trips since 2014 to work on the project. Other organizations have also made great strides in moving the project forward. Delays that took place in the middle of the project seemed disappointing, but God showed His timing was perfect when a flaw in the plan was revealed through one of the delays. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding." There were no delays, only divine adjustments to the construction plans. The vision of this facility originated with the founder of the NGO, who has guided this project and is now operating the home.
Many ministries and people have supported the construction of this facility and we thank God that he used DBR and or supporters to be an important part of the process. In 2022, by God's grace and provisions, the Center made a soft opening and received the first residents. DBR will continue to support the operation and full completion of this facility.
